Deborah Tillett
President and Executive Director, ETC (Emerging Technology Centers)

Deborah is responsible for oversight of Baltimore City’s innovation center.  She provides the guidance, leadership and resources necessary for entrepreneurs to start, grow and succeed.

Tillett started her first business in 1985 and it led to a career of computer gaming start-ups; notably a JV with ABC/Walt Disney to produce sports games. Tillett received a B.S. from Towson and an M.B.A. from Loyola. She was named the 2004, 2012, 2016 Innovator of the Year by The Daily Record, received 2005 and 2016 Brava Award, Smart Woman Magazine and was a 2006 Distinguished Alumni, Towson University. She was inducted into the Towson Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Deborah was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Computer Gaming, 2006 and was one of Daily Records’ 2017 Maryland Influencers and 2018 BBJ’s Top Ten in Tech. 

 


Juliana Buonanno
Operations and Client Engagement, Canton Group

Juliana joined Canton Group in 2017 and is a member of the Operations team, with her primary focus being client engagement, organization promotion, and operational improvement.  She spends the majority of her time continuing to refine and advance business operational goals and provide a stronger relationship between the Canton Group and our clients.

Juliana brings a lot of unique skills to the organization with her diverse background in recruitment, account management, and web development. She leverages her industry knowledge and strong relationships in the Baltimore/DC corridor to build high performing teams, cultivate operational improvements, and oversee vendor management.  She is passionate about identifying and resolving gaps in processes and inefficiencies; as well as focusing on improving company culture. 
 

Kate Krupey, PMP, MCSE, MCITP, MCTS
CIO, KatzAbosch
 

Kate has over 20 years of experience both optimizing and transforming IT for professional services firms, technology startups and public sector organizations. As an executive leader within KatzAbosch, Kate creates and executes the strategic roadmap for KatzAbosch’s information technology and management systems. She provides leadership to the Firm around change management governance, strategy and execution.  Kate evaluates emerging and disruptive technologies, trends and opportunities that support the Firm’s vision and growth strategies. As a member of management, Kate provides continual guidance on business processes, data protection, security, risk management and operational improvements. She requires that IT practice standard operating procedures and change-management while ensuring IT transparency by promoting Governance and oversight. Within the Firm, Kate is a contributor and key asset to all C-Level executives and provides mentorship to her team and across the organization.  She actively represents the Firm at industry events and public speaking engagements.

 


Samara Moore 
Director of IT Cybersecurity Strategy and Governance, Exelon Corporation

Samara partners with corporate security, IT and business leaders to shape and direct Exelon’s cybersecurity risk management efforts and align security measures with Exelon business and IT strategy. Samara is a recognized cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection expert who specializes in aligning business & technology to manage cyber risk and optimizing processes and tools to enable the business and protect information resources and sensitive data. Samara brings more than 20 years of IT and Security experience to implementing and sustaining programs to effectively manage cyber risks.

A seasoned IT executive, cybersecurity practitioner and thought leader; she has created and led development on widely used tools and frameworks including:

  • Electricity Sector Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model
  • NIST Cyber Security Framework

She is a former Director of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection on the White House National Security Council Staff. She also served as the Senior Cybersecurity Advisor at the Energy Department for 7 years. Moore received a Bachelor’s Degree from Virginia Tech in accounting and information systems, and a Master’s Degree from George Washington University in engineering management / systems engineering. Additionally, Samara enjoys sharing her expertise on boards and is passionate about mentoring professionals in the cybersecurity and STEM fields.
